Housewife saves abandoned baby

KUCHING: A 60-year-old housewife fought off wild dogs to rescue an abandoned newborn baby boy from being devoured by the canines behind a shophouse off Batu 13 Jalan Kuching-Serian here yesterday.
After taking the 2-day-old baby into her home in Taman Beverly, the woman alerted the police, said Kuching police chief Assistant Commissioner Mun Kock Keong.
He said the baby was warded at the Sarawak General Hospital in stable condition. -- Bernama
